Let's Enjoy the New Look of TMII to Celebrate the New Year 2025.

  Presiden Joko widodo on  1st September 2023 officially launched a revitalisation project  of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). It was hoped that the public can enjoy and visit the new face of TMII which is neat, greener, more beautiful and more comfortable. The new look  returned the initial masterplan of TMII, namely 70 percent green open space and 30 percent buildings. The project emphasizes environmentally friendly concept by extending green zone area and adopting low-gas emissions vehicles. Visit Fort Marlborough in Bengkulu, the Largest British Fort in the Southeast Asia.

Fort Marlborough (Fort Marlborough) is not only a bastion of the British territory on the west coast of Sumatra but also as a place to maintain the monopoly of pepper Bengkulu and trade. The fort was built by the East India Company (EIC) in 1713 to 1719 during the leadership of Governor Joseph Callet. The fort is considered as the second strongest fort belonging to the British in the east after the castle of St. George in Madras, India. Marlborough own name given by the British government which holds to John Churchill Duke of Marlborough I as a mark of respect.

Initially used as a defense fort but switching function as a commodity trading at the same pepper supervision center of the Malacca Strait. Judging from the architecture of the castle is more like dwelling in the city center than the fort or trading center. Inside this building there is a detention room, armory, offices, several cannons, bunkers, tunnels along a 6 m wide and 2 m. While on the back there are three tombs is the tomb of Thomas Parr, Charles Murray and the tomb of the unknown.
