Let's Enjoy the New Look of TMII to Celebrate the New Year 2025.

  Presiden Joko widodo on  1st September 2023 officially launched a revitalisation project  of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). It was hoped that the public can enjoy and visit the new face of TMII which is neat, greener, more beautiful and more comfortable. The new look  returned the initial masterplan of TMII, namely 70 percent green open space and 30 percent buildings. The project emphasizes environmentally friendly concept by extending green zone area and adopting low-gas emissions vehicles. Indonesia, or the Republic of Indonesia, with around 252 million people, is the world's fourth country. Originally controlled by several Hindu and Buddhist, and later by Islamic kingdoms, the archipelago enticed European spice traders beginning in the 16th century. by the end of th19 century, the country still a colony of the Dutch Administration. Nationalism grew in the early 20th century, after the World War II marked by the unconditional surrender of Japanese to the Allies in the Southeast Asia and the vacuum of foreign powers, this country proclaimed its independence on Augustus 17, 1945 . The agony under foreign rulers united the suppressed peoples, regardless of ethnics, languages, religions across the region, from the westernmost Aceh to the easternmost Papua, formerly known as Hindia Belanda or de Holland Indische, to politically stated themselves under the reign of Jakarta as the capital city of the Republic of Indonesia. Given a country with a high diversity in ethnics and culture, and geographically comprising of 17,000 islands, Indonesia hosts so many cultural festivals performed annually to reflect many aspects of its peoples' life. No wonder that every province holds a distinct festival, unique to its locality starting from Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) in the northernmost part of Sumatera Island to the easternmost region of Indonesia, Papua Province.

So pack up your things to come and learn Indonesian culture through its festivals; suit your itinerary in Indonesia to join and loss yourself among the folks to celebrate the moments you will never find other than in Indonesia, a country well known as "a ring of fire". In Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, you will visit Aceh Cultural Festival held annually. Down in Lampung Province of the southernmost Sumatera Island, in remember of Krakatoa eruption in 1883, Krakatoa Festival is held annually   but when you are in Papua Province, Raja Ampat Cultural Festival is a must event to see.
