  Presiden Joko widodo on  1st September 2023 officially launched a revitalisation project  of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). It was hoped that the public can enjoy and visit the new face of TMII which is neat, greener, more beautiful and more comfortable. The new look  returned the initial masterplan of TMII, namely 70 percent green open space and 30 percent buildings. The project emphasizes environmentally friendly concept by extending green zone area and adopting low-gas emissions vehicles. Thanks to Wallacea Expedition from England, it unearthed  the buried pearl in the marine life of South East Sulawesi, particularly in 1995. The expedition revealed the wealth in the waters of Kepulauan Tukang Besi, now known as Wakatobi, consisting of 750  coral species out of 850 species around the World. 


In 1996, Wakatobi was declared by the Goverment of Indonesia as National Park  with a total area of around 1.39 millions ha and named after  the regency of Wakatobi. Before December 18, 2003, it was called Kepulauan Tukang Besi and part of Buton Regency. The name of Tukang Besi ( blacksmith) was given because of the profession of its population is mostly blacksmith. Wakatobi  regency consists of four main islands namely  Wangi-Wangi, Kalidupa, Tomia, dan Binongko.   "Kebo Bule" in the cage at the Palace Compound of Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat. The celebration of the 1st Night of the Suro Keraton Surakarta Heritage Carnival on Sunday  was lively. Starting at around 23.30 WIB or midnight, people continued to flock to the carnival route, especially the Gladag Roundabout area.
