  Presiden Joko widodo on  1st September 2023 officially launched a revitalisation project  of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). It was hoped that the public can enjoy and visit the new face of TMII which is neat, greener, more beautiful and more comfortable. The new look  returned the initial masterplan of TMII, namely 70 percent green open space and 30 percent buildings. The project emphasizes environmentally friendly concept by extending green zone area and adopting low-gas emissions vehicles. The Ancient Alphabets of Lampung Ethnic, Indonesia.




Lampung refers to an administrative region of Lampung Province and lies in the southern tip of Sumatra island. Today, Lampung comprises many ethnics including native and non-native peoples. Native Lampung is used to group people from  historical background inherit the local culture including language and its alphabet used for communication among Lampung people.

The alphabets of native Lampung is under the group alphabets of called Kaganga. Geographically, the use of this group of alphabets were found in Southern part of Sumatera island.  Lampung Script (Had Lampung) is a form of writing that has a relationship with Pallawa of South India. Various kinds of writing phonetic syllables are vowels as in Arabic characters, using signs fathah on the top row and signs kasrah on the bottom line, but do not use dammah sign on the front row, but rather use the sign in the rear, where each sign has its own name.

Had Lampung was influenced by two elements : the Pallaya script and Arabic characteristics. Had Lampung has a kinship with the character shape Rencong, Bengkulu Rejang script, Sundanese script, and the script Lontara. Had Lampung consist of letters parent, child letters, children double letters and consonant clusters, there are also symbols, numbers and punctuation marks. Had Lampung termed Kaganga written and read from left to right with the Parent Letter of 20 pieces.

Lampung script has undergone development or change. Previous Had ancient Lampung was much more complex, but improved until it is known today. Had Lampung letters or taught in schools today is the result of the refinement. (Source:wikipedia.org)

  "Kebo Bule" in the cage at the Palace Compound of Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat. The celebration of the 1st Night of the Suro Keraton Surakarta Heritage Carnival on Sunday  was lively.
