To tap its economic potentials, the provincial and local governments in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Culture has come up with annual festivals and events to attracts domestics as well as foreign tourist to visit Bali Island. 
Annual festivals and events are now "must" attractions and waited for for those of you who want to experience a different way of vacation. Bali has long been hosting local and international festivals, so never miss it. Here are annual festivals in Bali you need to consider when to visit Bali.

Hari Raya Galungan and Kuningan


Galungan is a Balinese holiday celebrating the victory of dharma (the good) over adharma (the Evil). It marks the time when the ancestral spirits visit the Earth. Galungan is identical to Penjor which is installed on the side of the road, decorating the highway with natural nuances.Penjor is bamboo which is decorated in such a way according to local Balinese traditions. The last day of the celebration is Kuningan, when they return. The date is calculated according to the 210-day Balinese calendar. In 2020, Hari Raya Galungan takes place on 19 February and Hari Raya Kuningan 29 February.



Pesta Kesenian Bali (PKB)
Pesta Kesenian Bali, Bali Arts Festival, is the most awaited annual Balinese festival by the community and tourists. Various types of arts such as dance, music, handicrafts and others are displayed. The type of arts on display comes not only  from Bali but all the archipelago, as well as foreign countries. Every year, this festival takes different theme. Tis year, PKB will take place in November 2020.
Bali Kites Festival
Bali Kites Festival is an international festival held annually every July in the Padang Galak, Sanur. Giant traditional kites, four meters in width and ten meters in length in a variety of colors and forms, were flown and  competed among teams coming from villages in Denpasar.

Kuta Carnival
Kuta Carnival is an annual government agenda since 2003 after the Bali bombings which discouraged tourist visits. This festival is held along Kuta Beach and is held every October. Kuta Karnival is enlivened by many programs such as Bali art, fashion carnivals, food festivals, and many more. This festival is the most awaited local and international tourist.
Denpasar Festival
This festival is very interesting because it is held before the turn of the year each year, from 28 to 31 December, this activity takes place in the area of Jalan Gajah Mada to the zero point of Denpasar City at the Catur Muka Sculpture crossroad Denfest displyas a variety of arts and culture, a variety of textiles, culinary, and others. It's good if you come at night because the streets will look more beautiful with decorative lights.  

Ogoh Ogoh Festival
Before Nyepi there is an ogoh-ogoh festival. This festival is a festival that has its own attraction for tourists. This festival is held in the afternoon before sunset.Ogoh-ogoh itself is such a doll and is a symbol of negative elements. At the peak of the event, the ogoh-ogoh statue was burned and had a spiritual purpose so that the negative elements stayed away and did not interfere with Nyepi day activities later.

Bali International Film Festival


Bali International Film Festival atau sering disebut Balinale ini berlangsung pada bulan September. Festival ini tak hanya diperuntukkan bagi sineas perfilman saja, namun juga untuk wisatawan.The organizer presents a variety of long, short films, fiction and documentaries to be watched together by tourists.
Sanur Village Festival


The Sanur Village Festival is often held in August in the Masionette Area, Inna Grand Bali Beach Hotel, Sanur, Bali. The festival features Sanur run, creative expo, food heritage, fun games and many others.
