  Presiden Joko widodo on  1st September 2023 officially launched a revitalisation project  of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). It was hoped that the public can enjoy and visit the new face of TMII which is neat, greener, more beautiful and more comfortable. The new look  returned the initial masterplan of TMII, namely 70 percent green open space and 30 percent buildings. The project emphasizes environmentally friendly concept by extending green zone area and adopting low-gas emissions vehicles. Overall, the renovation project involved the following works : Arrangement of the main building area Renovation of joglo (Sasono Utomo, Sasono Langen Budoyo, and Sasono Adiguno) Arrangement of the observation tower Renovation of the museum Arrangement of the pavilion and pedestrian landscape Arrangement of the outer ring (bus stops) Arrangement of the parking area Arrangement of the management building Arrangement of the landscape of the islands in the Archipelago lake Ren...

Enjoy Ornamental Plants in Colorful Liwa Botanic Garden, West lampung, Lampung Province.

 
Liwa Botanical Garden, "Kebun Raya Liwa".
Lampung Province is a well-known tourist destination in Indonesia. Rich of natural resources including biological wealth, making natural attractions in Lampung Province are abound. Especially in West Lampung in the village of Pekon Kubu Perahu, Balik Bukit District, the City of Liwa (Capital City of West Lampung Regency) is currently being built  Kebun Raya Liwa or Liwa Botanical Garden.

The development of the Liwa Botanical Garden  was the result of collaboration between the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), the Bogor Botanic Garden Plant Conservation Center (Kebun Raya Bogor) and the Ministry of Public Works and West Lampung Regency Government.
 
Taman Nasional Bukit Barisan Selatan (TNBBS).

Located on the back of the Bukit Barisan Mountains with cool air and beautiful panorama covering an area of 112 hectares, the Liwa Botanic Garden is a conservation area with the theme of conservation and development of Ornamental Plants, Flora Representation of Southern Sumatra National Park (TNBBS), both flowering and beautiful leaves.  

Liwa Botanic Garden is located between 890-948 meters above sea level. The topography conditions vary so that this region has contours with different soil heights, this makes it hilly and bumpy and there are water sources in several places.

In general, several types of vegetation grow well in the area. These vegetation include Ficus sp., Pole /tree Ferns, epiphytic plants, bananas, rattan and various types of bamboo (Bambusa sp.). However, some types of vegetation such as Pepasang (Quercus sp.), Cemara exelsa (Araucaria exelsa), Pinus (Pinus merkusii) which generally grow high above 1000 meters above sea level, can grow well in the botanical gardens.The number of embedded collections up to February 2013 was 162 types, 894 specimens with a total collection of 329 types in nurseries, 7,361 specimens.
