Jam Gadang
Jam Gadang, or the Clock Tower, is the landmark of Bukit Tinggi City. It is the most visited attraction in Bukit Tinggi. The icon of tourism in Bukitinggi is an heritage of the Dutch Administration which was built in 1926 with fantastic cost of around 3000 gulden. The architect of the structure were two local people : Yazid Sutan Maruhun and Rasid Sutan Gigi Ameh. It stands 26 meters above the ground. The park where the tower stands has become public space for social interactions among local people. Located in the city center, it is an ideal place to local people to enjoy the city any time as it opens daily.

Benteng Fort De Kock
Benteng Fort De Kock was built by the Dutch Administration in 1825 during Paderi War as a fort. It is located on Jirek Hill, the highest place and considered the most strategic position. The fort was surrounded a trench with dimension of  1 m dept and 3 m height. 8 canons are still there to be found there as the remains of war. In this green area, also can be founded water supply building built in 1932 to supply water to local people at that time.

Lobang Jepang
Lobang Jepang, Japanese Tunnese, is one of the historical tourist attractions in the City of Bukittinggi, West Sumatera. This site was an underground military complex used as a protection tunnel built by Japanese in 1943 on the order of  General Watanabe. This military complex was constructed using Javanese workers  bought here by Japanese as Romusha. The accessible tunnel to date is 1470 m long and 50 m in depth from the ground. It was first discovered in the early 1950s and opened to public in 1994 with more tunnels remained unexplored.

Rumah Kelahiran Bung Hatta
Bung Hatta together with Bung Karno is a founding father of Republic Indonesia. The house was built in 1860s. Bung Hatta was born in this house in 1901.The original building, in fact, fell down in 1960 but rebuilt and inaugurated on August 12, 1995 in remembrance and to show the life of Bung Hatta in childhood. In this house, visitors can see a  collection of family photos are on show , family tree, and antique goods.

Taman Panorama & Ngarai Sianok
Ngarai Canon was once hilly area formed due to an ancient volcanic eruption in Maninjau. The beauty of Sianok Canon can be enjoyed from Panorama Park,  an open green space owned by Bukittinggi society. Gazebo with rangkiang architecture and children playground are some attractions make this spot a favorite place to visit.

Museum Rumah Adat Naan Baanjuang
This museum was built in 1935 as a museum of Minangkabau Etnology. It is located in Bukittinggi Zoo known as Taman Margasatwa and Budaya Kinantan. This museum stores ancient object and collection of Minangkabau cultureal objects.  

Janjang 40
Topography of Bukittinggi area made the Dutch had to build many stairways or Janjang as. Janjang 40 is one of the famous stairways in Bukittinggi. This structure consists of forty steps and was built by the Dutch in 1908 to connect Pasar Atas dengan Pasar Bawah.

Janjang Koto Gadang
Its is used to be a foot path connecting Koto Gadang to the Center of Bukit Tinggi. At that time, this path was useful for students and traders on foot to Bukit Tinggi. The path is sparated by a cannon bridged by a suspension bridge. The view of Janjang Koto Gadang can be seen from Taman Panorama (Panorama Park). Beautiful Scenery and cool air make attract tourists to come. There are two entrances : in Sianok Cannon and Koto Gadang. 

Lapangan Pacu Kudo Bukik Ambacang
Race course of Ambacang Hill has the best Scenery among the other race courses in West Sumatera. Here audience can enjoy the beautiful view of Ngarai Runtuah, Ngarai Sabik and Ngarai Laweh from all corners while watching the race.

Kantor Walikota Bukittinggi
If you want to witness the beauty of Bukittinggi, come to the Offices Complex of Bukittinggi's government as it is the highest spot. Visitors can enjoy the view of Mount Merapi and Mount Singalang stand side by side. The Office Complex  was officially opened in 2005. The architecture of the buildings was a mix of  modern design with traditional design of Rumah Gadang making it a  magnificient building.The architecture of this building was once awarded as the most beautiful government building from the Ministry of Public Works of Indonesia in 2006.

Jambatan Limpapeh
Jambatan Limpapeh (Limpapeh Bridge) was built in 1995 to connect Benteng Fort De Kokck to Kinantan Zoo. The bridge has also become popular tourism destination besides Jam Gadang.  To the north, visitors can witness beautiful scenery of Bukit Barisan and the Office of Mayor; while facing to the eyes of visitors will be spoiled by the panorama of Mount Merapi and Mount Singgalang, as well as the city view.
