The New Normal in Tourism Destinations : Borobudur Temple Open In June.
The temples of Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko will be soon open for public in early June after close for three months due to the pandemic of Covid-19. The management is on preparation of the New Normal in Tourism Site with a view to improve and raise service quality standards towards clean, healthy and safe tourism.
The New Normal in these temples is made in accordance with the direction of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) which would implement the CHS Program (Cleanliness, Health, and Safety) in all tourism destination across the archipelago.
This program is considered important, because this pandemic has changed human behavior. The community is far more concerned with factors of cleanliness, health and safety, including in the tourism industry.
The New Normal in the Temples Complex
The management would require all visitors to wear face masker and have their body temperature check at the entrance gate. Visitors are also required to implement physical distancing. Then provide hand washing stations every 100 meters, signs and information board protocol COVID-19, placing reliable customer service while on duty and actively directing tourists to carry out the established protocol.
Stickers of body temperature marker will be put on visitors. This body temperature marker sticker consists of three colors, namely for body temperature below 37.5 degrees Celsius, will be given a green color sticker and may enter the temple tourism park area.Then the yellow sticker, for body temperature 37.5 to 37.7 centigrade, while the body temperature is above 38 degrees, given the red striker
For those who have red stickers, they are directed to a health clinic and will get 'treatment'. If the visitors come alone, they will be directed to go home, but if they are with a group, they must wait at the clinic and are not allowed to enter the temple tourism area.
The interactions between officers and visitors will be reduced. In term of payment for ticketing, cashless basis will be applied.
Then as an effort to maintain the comfort and cleanliness of the street vendor's environment, the COVID-19 protocol was also applied in the merchant area, as well as providing excellent health services with adequate staff and medical space.
