Visit West Java : Curug Cikondang, Cianjur Regency.

The area of Cianjur Regency which is known as a rice stock also has extraordinary natural wealth. This area has stretches of rice fields, forests, and river streams that become waterfalls. A waterfall in Cianjur that is worth visiting is Curug Cikondang, Cianjur Regency.

The height and width make it look so extraordinary that it was nicknamed the Mini Niagara. This waterfall is surrounded by rice fields and plantations which are still very beautiful. No wonder this place is one of the favorite natural tourist destinations for Cianjur residents.

To enter Curug Cikondang, visitors are charged an affordable ticket fee. If you bring a vehicle, visitors must also pay a parking fee for this waterfall attraction which is open to the public every day from 08.00-16.00. This waterfall area is also often a destination for camping or camping activities

"Curug Cikondang is a waterfall located in Sukadana Village, Cianjur Regency. Its name does not come from Sundanese which means" famous ", but rather the name of a plant."Kondang is another name for the Loa tree, a plant with characteristic fruit that grows on the branches. However, it seems that the term" famous "should be carried by this waterfall," said one of the managers of Cikondang Waterfall Tourism, Kang Aep.

The cool breeze greeted  the Journal Holiday team, as entering the waterfall area guided by three Millennial Generation of SMKN 1 Bojong Picung students. Its massive shape reminds people of Niagara, a waterfall in the America. Curug Cikondang in West Java is no less cool.

Indeed, one of the exotic waterfalls that deserves a visit, this waterfall tourist location is not too difficult to reach. However, visitors must walk a little from the parking area via a footpath to reach it. This path is quite easy to access and can be traversed by various groups.

This path will take visitors walking through the tea plantation area. The green expanse of tea plants will be an eye freshener during the trip. The Journal Holiday team is very happy to be able to set aside time to take pictures for a moment.

The distance from the parking lot is not too far from the location of the waterfall. After passing through a river with clear water, visitors will pass through exotic rice terraces. Not far from there, the waterfall will be more visible as you hear the roar of the water.

There are several comfortable rest huts on the banks of the Curug Cikondang river flowing from a narrow river. This water flow then widens on the edge of the cliff and becomes the mouth of a waterfall whose width is estimated to be almost 30 meters. The height of the water drop is approximately 50 meters.

"Curug Cikondang consists of several stacked steps. The cliff walls are blackish and flanked by natural vegetation. This waterfall flows into a river decorated with large rocks here and there," explained Kang Aep.

Visitors can approach the waterfall through these rocks. The water splash cools the area around the water drop. For the sake of safety, visitors who want to play water are better off not getting too close to the waterfall location. Visitors can play in the river where the flow is safer
