  Presiden Joko widodo on  1st September 2023 officially launched a revitalisation project  of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). It was hoped that the public can enjoy and visit the new face of TMII which is neat, greener, more beautiful and more comfortable. The new look  returned the initial masterplan of TMII, namely 70 percent green open space and 30 percent buildings. The project emphasizes environmentally friendly concept by extending green zone area and adopting low-gas emissions vehicles. Overall, the renovation project involved the following works : Arrangement of the main building area Renovation of joglo (Sasono Utomo, Sasono Langen Budoyo, and Sasono Adiguno) Arrangement of the observation tower Renovation of the museum Arrangement of the pavilion and pedestrian landscape Arrangement of the outer ring (bus stops) Arrangement of the parking area Arrangement of the management building Arrangement of the landscape of the islands in the Archipelago lake Ren...

Visit South Sumatra : Bukit Jempol, Lahat.

South Sumatra is one of provinces on Sumatra Island Bukit Barisan passes through. Geographically, Lahat regency is covered by Bukit Barisan that no wander its topography has  quite many hills including Bukit Jempol. Its unique shape like someone who is giving a thumbs up makes it often called the thumb hill. Besides, this hill is also known as Bukit Tunjuk, because on the other hand it is shaped like a finger pointing upwards. In fact, originally the hill was named Bukit Serelo located in the village of Ulak Pandan kec. Merapi Barat Lahat

Located aroung 260 km from Palembang, Bukit Telunjuk has unique attraction to visit Lahat. The charm of the hill is so amazing that many climbers from outside the area are curious to see its original form up close.During holiday, local climbers often make Bukit Jempol as a climbing target. Bukit Jempol is quite challenging for its contours and terrain. To reach to the peak of  900 mdpl, climbers are required to climb a very steep cliff. But it pays off as the panorama from the top of the hill is so amazing. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of around the hill as it is surrounded by Lematang river with clear water that makes the scenery around the hill even more enchanting.

Bukit Serelo is also worth visiting for camping site. The area around Mount Jempol, such as the one in the Bukit Beringin village area is ideal for the camping tourist destinations. Every weekend this site is crowded with many young people who come to camp.  However, camping activity is not recommended on the hill because of the wind that may hit strong enough to be able to fly the tent, not to mention the cold weather.

Another attraction in Bukit Serelo area is Pusat Latihan Gajah (PGL) Lahat. At this Elephant Training Center, there are a number of Sumatran Elephants from forest in Musi dan Banyuasin. Here, tourists can see elephants being trained and the elephants are very friendly to visitors. The Elephant Training Center (PGL) covers an area of approximately 100 ha and is located in the Bukit Jempol Nature Reserve Forest, Lahat Regency. 

All attraction packages in Bukit Serelo are yours to enjoy while in Lahat regency. You can enjoy the view of Bukit Serelo from Lahat, then site visit to Bukit serelo either to climb up the hill and/or set up tent in Bukit Beringin Village, and last having fun with Elephant in the Elephant Training Center (PGL) Lahat.
