The status of a safe place to visit makes its residence proud of. In Indonesia itself, there is a number of citiest that has been named the safest. As such it is not surprising that some people choose these cities as their next place to live.

Safe city, then, in Indonesia can be a good indicator for foreign tourists to visit. The Association of Planning Experts (Ikatan Ahli Perencana) conducted a survey regarding the safest cities in Indonesia, which you can use as a reference. Here are seven (7) of those.

1. Solo           

Solo is the city where Presiden Joko Widodo comes from. It is also known as Surakarta, and one of the cities that is considered as the safest in Indonesia.

It's not surprising that this city is in the safest category to live in. Apart from that, Solo is a city with a relatively low cost of living compared to other cities in Central Java.

2. Semarang

Then there is Semarang, chosen as one of the safest cities in Indonesia. The capital city of Central Java is also known to be quite a comfortable place to live.

The economic level in this city is also relatively stable. So it is not surprising that some people choose Semarang as a place to live, safe and comfortable.

 3. Yogyakarta

Furthermore, Yogyakarta is one of the safest cities according to the IAP survey. This special area, nicknamed Student City, is also the choice of many people as a place to live.

The unique nuance of Yogyakarta, rich in history, culture and attractive tourist attractions for export, make this city seem suitable as a place to live. Apart from being safe, it is comfortable and also quite enjoyable.

4. Banjarmasin

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan was also selected as the safest city in Indonesia. Based on data from the IAP survey, this city received a score of 73 out of 100.

5. Palembang

Palembang, South Sumatra is also in the category of the safest city in Indonesia, especially for those of you who want to decide to stay.

6. Balikpapan

Apart from Banjarmasin, the city in Kalimantan that is included in the safest category is Balikpapan, namely East Kalimantan to be precise.

7. Denpasar

Lastly, Denpasar, Bali has been named the city with the safest safety aspect in Indonesia. So it is not surprising that both Indonesian and foreign citizens choose this city as a place to live.
