Palembang City has shown its readiness to welcome tourists by launching the Calendar of Charming Events Palembang, which will target 2.2 million tourists or tourists visiting Palembang City in 2023. This will be supported by 107 events in Palembang's Calendar of Charming Events which will be held.Whether it's local, national, or scale events to achieve this target.The Head of the Palembang City Tourism Office, Kgs Sulaiman Amin, confirmed this. He said, after the Covid-19 pandemic, the tourism industry and creative economy sector in 2023 would become the momentum for tourism to rise.Last year, the music industry sector and the creative economy of Palembang City have experienced improvements.   Padang Bindu is a village in Semidang Aji District, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra Province. It lies around 35 km from Baturaja, a capital city of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The village is a popular tourism destination among locals with its natural attractions of Goa Putra, or Putri Cave since 1989. The Sultanate of Palembang Darussalam was an Islamic empire in Indonesia which was located in the vicinity of the present-day city of Palembang, South Sumatra. This sultanate was proclaimed by Sri Susuhunan Abdurrahman, a Palembang aristocrat in 1659, but its existence was abolished by the Dutch colonial government on 7 October 1823 and made it the Dutch colony since then(wikipedia.com).   The early days of Palembang is linked to existence of the Srivijaya Kingdom.Based on the opinion I Tsing who came from China and several Sriwijaya inscriptions, namely Kedukan Bukit, Talang Tuo, Kota Kapur, Karang Brahi, and Palas Pasemah, the Srivijaya Kingdom was founded by Dapunta Hyang Jayanasa on Seguntang Hill in 671 AD.
